About Pierre d'Alancaisez Photography
Stylish and imaginative colour and black and white photography - commercial, personal and editorial.
Born on a boat between Sweden and Poland, I grew up in Poland, France, and the UK. At 16, I won a scholarship to Eton College where I began to develop my passion for photography. I continued my education at Balliol College, Oxford.
In 2002-03 I was Photo Editor and Art Director of Isis magazine, England’s oldest independent student publication. During my time there, I redesigned the magazine’s look-and-feel and had the opportunity to meet and photograph a raft of household names, from icons (Sir Jimmy Savile) novelists (Margaret Atwood, Philip Pullman) and poets (Benjamin Zephaniah) to actors (Billy Nighy) and politicians (Jonathan Aitken).
Fashion photography is one of my true loves; among others, I have done shoots involving Vivienne Westwood and Karen Millen collections.
My work has appeared in British and American publications.
